Overwatch 2 Season 7 new map

The biggest piece of content coming in Season 7 will be the release of the new map, "Samoa", which was announced and showcased during the OWL finals. Samoa is a Control map, where teams fight over a series of objectives across different maps in a best of three. Other Control maps include Nepal or Ilios.

Unlike previous seasons, no new hero will be coming in Season 7 of Overwatch 2. Blizzard are continuing the trend of only releasing heroes on even-numbered seasons for the foreseeable future. A new tank hero is anticipated in Season 8, but nothing has been confirmed yet. What we do have are massive hero reworks to both Roadhog and Sombra.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 battle pass

A new battle pass will also be released with Season 7. As with previous seasons, players will likely be able to purchase the premium version of the battle pass for 1,000 Overwatch Coins. Meanwhile, the basic battle pass will be free.

Regarding skins, the aforementioned Moira/Lilith skin will not be the mythic skin included within the Season 7 battle pass as Blizzard has confirmed that Hano will be the recipient of the latest mythic skin in Overwatch 2.
