Using dyes on armour in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

First of all, note that you can’t apply dye on every armour set. Some armour sets and unique pieces, such as the Bokoblin Mask or Majora’s Mask, cannot be dyed.

Regardless, for the armour that you can dye, each dye will cost you 20 Rupees, and Sayge will ask you to provide materials corresponding with that colour. You will have to provide five materials of the corresponding colour to make a single dye.

After this, you can see a preview of your dyed armour before you make the purchase. So make sure it fits the look you're going for. However, if you want to revert it back to its original appearance, that will also cost only 20 Rupees so don't hesitate to experiment.
