What are the best loadouts in The Finals?

Below, we've got the details on the best loadouts for each class of character in The Finals. Of the three size classes you can play as in The Finals currently, the Light class is deemed to be the most powerful, thanks to the extra speed and smaller hitbox of the character.

However, you can succeed with any of the classes in the game by adapting your strategy to suit each class's strengths. Each of the builds below attempts to build synergy between each class's traits and the equipment selected.

The Finals best Light loadout

In the current meta, the V9S semi-automatic pistol is widely regarded as the most powerful weapon available for Light characters. Boasting a large magazine of bullets and a suppressor, the gun pairs well with the Cloaking Device specialisation, allowing you to traverse the arena while invisible and take your opponents by surprise.

The suppressor on the V9S will also obscure the direction your shots are coming from, further emphasising this build's suitability for ambushes. If semi-auto guns don't do it for you, give the M11 auto-pistol a go. This gun also has a suppressor, as well as an incredibly high rate of fire.

For your gadgets, carrying smokes or flashbangs will be useful to further give you the initiative in surprise engagements, enabling you to confuse or disorient your opponents. Additionally, the Thermal Vision gadget pairs well with smokes, allowing you to see opponents. Lastly, consider using the Motion Sensor when playing as the Light class, as this will reveal any opponents using the Cloaking Device specialisation.

The Finals best Medium loadout

If you're opting to play as the Medium class, you'll be occupying more of a supportive role, with many of your gadgets and abilities revolving around keeping your allies alive. For your specialisation, you'll want the Healing Beam. This is a tool that regenerates your allies' health, useful to rescue a teammate under fire or on the brink of death. This pairs well with the Defibrillator gadget, as well as the Jump Pad or Zipline for some extra mobility.

In terms of weaponry, the AKM R.357 is the best weapon overall, offering high damage and long-distance capabilities. However, if you're confident in your abilities, you may want to try out the revolver. Its high-powered shots and deadly damage mean you can quickly dispatch opponents if you can land all six shots in your chamber.

The Finals best Heavy loadout

As a Heavy character, you'll be the tank of the team. Arguably, the most fun specialisation for Heavy characters is the Charge 'N' Slam ability, which allows you to dash forward through walls, opening up new lines of sight and pathways, potentially through multiple buildings. You'll also damage anyone caught in your path.

While maybe not the most practical in an open area, the Flamethrower dominates in close-quarters, indoor encounters, thanks to its high damage output and large area of effect. Meanwhile, when it comes to Heavy gadgets, focus on equipment that deals damage or has explosive, destructive qualities, such as C4 explosives, the RPG-7 rocket launcher, or frag grenades.
