What is Blue Grass

Blue Grass is twice as effective as regular grass. Your animals will get twice as many hearts if you feed them Blue Grass instead of ordinary grass. Your animals will also produce higher-quality goods more quickly if you feed them Blue Grass. This, essentially renders normal glass useless, as there is no benefit to farming regular grass over the newer Blue Grass.

How to get Blue Grass

There are two ways through which you can obtain Blue Grass.

Start with The Meadowlands Farm Type

The Meadowlands Farm-type will naturally grow Blue Grass over time. In the fall, spring, and summer, blue grass spawns naturally and replenishes on its own. It's quite simple and only takes patience and some time to complete.

Purchase from Qi's Ginger Island Shop

You can go to Qi’s Walnut Room at Ginger Island and buy the Blue Grass Starter Recipe. This method is a little more involved and needs you to be rather advanced in the game, as you need Foraging Mastery and have Qi's Ginger Island shop unlocked.

You can purchase the Blueprint for Blue Grass, but you'll require Blue Syrup to craft it. Blue Syrup is only available from Blue Trees, and you need blue tree seeds from the Foraging Mastery achievement to get them.

Once you've crafted your Blue Grass, plant it anywhere and watch it spread to adjacent tiles as time passes. Over time, similar to regular grass, a patch of Blue grass will progressively grow larger and cover more tiles throughout the farm. However, It does not spread to adjacent tiles during winter.
