How to find Caradec's Bounty in Skull and Bones

As you progress with the Skull and Bone's High Seas Heist mission, you will come across a treasure map that marks the Caradec's Bounty location. While the location is marked on a map, finding the exact spot isn't easy. Many players spend hours running around the island trying to find the treasure.

What's worse, other guides will tell players to go to a specific location and when players get to that location, the chest is not there. Even when the player is exactly in the marked area on the map, there's nothing to dig up. What's going on? If you are in this situation, don't worry. We have a solution.

Players are struggling to find Caradec's Bounty because it's not always in the same location. There are a few possible areas where the chest will spawn. Luckily, there aren't too many spots to check and they're all relatively near one another. Let's walk you through it.

Skull and Bones Caradec's Bounty locations

Heading to the island

For starters, Caradec's Bounty is always on the same island. The approximate quest location is on your map, although the area may be unexplored.

Once you sail to the area, you'll discover Royal Burial Ground, which will unlock a fast travel point. If you already discovered Royal Burial Ground, travel there to begin your search. Read our guide on how to fast travel in Skull and Bones.

One pointer to keep in mind is that the clues are slightly different every time. For example, the hints on the map will have a marking of a crab, Roman numerals, an X, a turtle, or something else.

The good news is when you're in the vicinity, a golden objective marker will appear, making it hard to miss.

Possible locations for Caradec's Bounty

Location 1

The first possible spot for Caradec's Bounty is the easiest to find. Once you fast-travel to the port, follow the path to the left of the beach. When you pass under a stone archway into a secret beach, the glowing quest marker should appear.

Location 2

Fast-travel Royal Burial Ground and start running to the right of the spawn point. You're headed to the North-East side of the outpost. Continue running until you come across a Pirate's Bonfire, Caradec's Bounty is just ahead to the right. The glowing quest marker should appear as you approach.

Location 3

Disembark from your ship or fast-travel to Royal Burial Ground. Follow the stairs near the beach, up the road, and the treasure chest should appear on your right. The stairs will be right next to the outpost's cache on the beach.

Skull and Bones Caradec's Bounty rewards

Skull and Bones Caradec's Bounty doesn't provide much loot but it contains a quest item. Once you find the treasure, the next step is to return to Scurlock and continue the High Seas Heist mission.

Skull and Bones Caradec's Bounty not appearing

If you already explored the entire island and haven't found Caradec's Bounty, the quest may be bugged. One solution is to exit the game and open it again. Disconnecting and reconnecting should force the quest to update and spawn the chest in one of the three locations mentioned earlier.
