All playable characters in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

When talking about the game's playable characters, we must note an important story element that affects how each character works in the game, that being the Suicide Squad's excursion through the Justice League's Hall of Fame. It's here that each member takes hold of legendary items that assist them in combat and also traversal through Metropolis.

Harley Quinn, a.k.a. Dr. Harleen Quinzel, is a former psychiatrist turned supervillain known for her acrobatics, unpredictable behaviour, and complicated relationship with the Joker. Going through the Justice League's Hall of Fame, she decides to grab Batman's Grapplegun, which she uses in-game to swing across the city. Besides her insane antics, this really helps sell how she keeps up with the rest of the game's ultra-powerful cast of characters.

Deadshot (with Gizmo's Jetpack)

Deadshot, a.k.a. Floyd Lawton, is a skilled marksman and assassin known primarily for his impeccable aim with ranged weapons. In Suicide Squad: KTJL, Deadshot gets hold of Gizmo's Jetpack, which he incorporates into his traversal in the game. It allows him to jet across the skyline of Metropolis and shoot at enemies from the sky.

Captain Boomerang (with Doctor Sivana’s Speed Force Gauntlet)

Captain Boomerang, a.k.a. Digger Harkness, is a skilled villain who uses high-tech boomerangs as weapons with deadly accuracy. At first, that might not sound too different from Deadshot, but what really sets Captain Boomerang apart is that he's Australian. As well as the fact that the game gives him the Speedforce gauntlet, essentially turning, giving him speed akin to the Flash.

King Shark (with himself)

King Shark, a.k.a Nanaue, is a huge humanoid shark with a lot, lot of strength. So much strength, in fact, that the developers didn't deem it necessary to give him an artefact from the Justice League's Hall of Fame. Instead, he can just jump around from street to street with his hulking figure and cause mayhem with nothing but raw strength alone!

More playable characters (post-launch)

We do officially now have confirmation from Rocksteady Studios themselves that additional playable characters will be available post-launch. This news wasn't too shocking, as we've known for a while that, unlike the Arkham games, Suicide Squad: KTJL will be a live-service game with potentially tons of DLC content planned for down the line.

As for which characters may be playable soon or how many Rocksteady have planned, we can't say. All we know for (almost) certain is that they will be DC villains with ties to the Suicide Squad. Perhaps characters such as El Diablo or Peacemaker may be in the pipeline, but for now, it's all just a guessing game.

Also on Suicide Squad: KTJL, read whether the game is co-op and if it will have crossplay.
