Palworld Pals - How to trade with other players

As of now, the two methods available for in-game Pal trading are through the Palbox or directly in multiplayer worlds. While the first method might be more straightforward, the second, involving guilds, is considered safer.

Currently in its Early Access version, the official trading of Pals is not supported in Palworld. Nevertheless, a workaround exists in multiplayer where you can share Pals with other players, using the game's mechanics. It isn't quite trading in the traditional sense, but it works if you want to swap Pals.

Before diving in, it's crucial to note that both parties need to be present in the same multiplayer world. Trading between players on different servers or platforms (PC and Xbox) is not supported currently.

Keeping these limitations in mind, here's how you can trade Palworld Pals with other players:

Pal Trading in Multiplayer Worlds Using Pal Sphere

  1. Ensure both players are online and in close proximity in the world. The Pal you want to trade should be in your current Party.
  2. Open the Party menu and select the Pal you wish to trade.
  3. Remove the Pal from your Party by using the R key on PC or the Right stick on controller.
  4. Accept the warning prompt to proceed. Basically, make sure you trust the other person if you intend to exchange it for another Pal instead of simply giving it away, as this feature is more like gifting.
  5. Nearby players can pick up the Pal Sphere containing your Pal.
  6. If you want their Pals, have them repeat the steps above.

Guild-Based Pal Trading Using Palbox

  1. Both players must be in the same guild. Ensure both players are online and in the same world.
  2. Equip your Palbox and use the Palbox Management menu to equip your Pal (F key on PC, X on controller).
  3. Drag and drop the Pal into the Palbox.
  4. Exit the Palbox Management, and have the other player follow the same steps.

While the official trading feature is yet to be released, these are the two ways you can trade Palworld Pals with other players. Perhaps we will see a trading feature in a future update, as the developers have assured players that trading, along with PvP, will be implemented later.
