Ichiban personality traits are one of the most improtant stats

There are a ton of stats to keep track of in Infinite Wealth, with Ichiban's personality traits being among the most important ones.

There are six different personality traits, these are Passion, Confidence, Charisma, Intellect, Kindness, and Style. Each trait has 10 levels of potency, with all offering different bonuses the more you improve them.

Let's break down the benefits each gives per level.

Passion perks

  • Level 1: No benefits
  • Level 2: Enhances Hero's Encouragement
  • Level 3: Increases sleep resistance

Each personality trait gives resistance to a different status ailment and buffs an ability from Kasuga's Hero job, which is one of his best ones coincidentally.

Other personality trait benefits

On top of the gameplay benefits, having high personality trait stats will allow you to interact with certain NPCs across the map in different ways, starting conversations with them, and leading to potential romantic interests being discovered.

Furthermore, once you unlock the job system in Chapter 6, a few jobs will require high personality trait stats to unlock.

How to increase personality traits in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

There are quite a lot of ways to increase these stats in Infinite Wealth, some are more efficient than others but generally, you'll want to mix a wealth of activities to consistently increase all of them.

Personality Chances

Some side activities will prompt Kasuga to select an option upon being asked something. Depending on your answer, a different personality trait will increase.

These will appear more prominently while doing Drink Links while bonding with party members, so be sure to pay attention to your companions as you can maximise your grind this way.

Personality Challenges

Personality Challenges are a solid way to increase your stats

On the main menu, head over to the Personality tab and select Personality Challenges, here you'll find hundreds of gameplay-related challenges (384 to be exact) that will reward you with different personality trait bonuses.

The challenges are divided into three sections – Adventure (120), Battle (158), and Minigames (106). While you can't see the requirements for a lot of them early on, as you progress through the game they will start unlocking.

Furthermore, each challenge has a personality trait icon associated with it, so it's easier to target those that boost the specific trait you're looking to level up.

Ounabara Vocational School

Progress through the story and eventually you'll unlock substory 21, Playing with Fire, which will unlock the Ounabara Vocational School landmark. Similar to Like a Dragon 7, you can take different tests all improving different traits significantly.

Magazines

Items can also increase your personality traits

Running around the world you'll find magazine stands or stores that sell unique items that can improve stats. A quick example would be the Heartful Gole comic that will improve your Kindness.

Aloha Links

Early on you'll come across a substory that will give you access to Aloha Links, special NPCs throughout Hawaii that you can interact with, giving you a small bonus to a personality trait.
