The launch of Season 5 for Warzone and Vanguard is on the horizon, much to the excitement of players looking forward to the final season of the Pacific era of the battle royale. Just like the start of any season, developers are adding new weapons to the ever-expanding arsenal.
One weapon arriving shortly after Season 5 begins is the Valois Revolver. This particular pistol also acts as a one-hit melee weapon adding further versatility. Activision says the weapon's "damage isn't remarkable" but is the perfect secondary weapon to deal with any targets that are low on health.

How to unlock Valois Revolver
The Valois Revolver is the first Season 5 gun to launch that isn't part of the battle pass. Players have the option to complete a challenge in either multiplayer or the battle royale. Here are the requirements:
- Vanguard Multiplayer/Warzone: Score 15 melee kills.
- Vanguard Zombies: Score 1000 eliminations using Pack-a-Punch pistols.
If you're not a fan of challenges, the Valois Revolver will appear in a store bundle as a new weapon blueprint. There's a chance the gun will feature alongside a new Operator so expect its price to be 2400 COD Points.
Valois Revolver release date
Activision hasn't shared the exact release date of the Valois Revolver but the publisher says it will arrive in Vanguard and Warzone during Season 5's launch window.
The launch window suggests the revolver will arrive in the first few weeks of the new season so keep your eyes peeled to the pistol category to see when it arrives in the arsenal.
Is the Valois Revolver good in Warzone?
It's unclear if the Valois Revolver will shake up the metagame but the ability to cause huge damage with its melee action makes the pistol a viable option in close-quarters combat.
Despite the unremarkable damage, having a pistol capable of improving melee damage and taking down weak opponents is extremely useful to have in various scenarios.
