How to increase Dragon's Dogma 2 carrying capacity

While adventuring through the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll need to carry a large variety of items. The more loot you carry, the higher your capacity needs to be, meaning you’ll need to learn how to increase carrying capacity for your created character or your pawn.

When using the best vocations, you’ll also run into issues with carrying capacity. After all, the huge greatswords and dense armour of the Warrior class are far heavier than the cloaks and staffs of the Mage class.

With this in mind, here’s a simple guide to increasing carrying capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to increase carrying capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2

To increase your carrying capacity, you’ll need to go out into the world and search for a Golden Trove Beetle. These golden bugs are consumable items that you can use on either your player character or primary pawn to instantly increase your carrying capacity by 0.15 kg.

• Go out into the world and search for a Golden Trove Beetle
• Beetles can typically be found on tree trunks and some rocks
• Go into your inventory and use the Golden Trove Beetle
• Your carrying capacity has now increased by 0.15KG
• To increase your Pawn’s carrying capacity simply give the item to your Pawn, switch to their inventory and use it there.

Golden Trove Beetles can be found all across the open world, and they’re quite plentiful. Whether you’re in the forest area, desert or any other location, you’ll likely find a beetle or two whilst you’re out on a trek.

Best way to spot Golden Trove Beetles

In the daytime, Golden Trove Beetles can be a tad difficult to spot, especially with Dragon’s Dogma 2’s intense bloom lighting. However, this means that it’s very easy to spot the little blighters when it’s dark out.

In our experience, the best time to specifically hunt for Golden Trove Beetles to increase your carrying capacity is at night as their golden glow is easily noticeable from quite a large distance. However, be wary, as the game becomes much more difficult as soon as the sun disappears.
