How to activate the Terminid Control System in Helldivers 2

The Terminid Control System in Helldivers 2 is the mission that requires players to protect Barrier Planets. This consists of large towers that dispense Termicide when activated to remove Terminids from a planet and prevent future infestations.

This is an essential mission for the border planet to Super Earth to stop any further infestations. All this is done via activating and defending the battery silos around the Termicide tower.

How to activate Terminid Control System in Helldivers 2

The Terminid Control System is a useful weapon against the bug threats in Helldivers 2. The mission has the usual timer of 40 minutes but takes place on a smaller map. The only objective here is to activate the Terminid Control System.

• After the mission is started locate the Termicide tower and head over to it. Finding it should be easy as it will be the only main marker on the map.
• Once you find the Towers, head to the largest one, i.e., the Termicide Tower. It will have a large exhaust at its top and a yellow control panel at its base. Head over to the yellow control panel and press the button.
• The tower will now start rising but still more power is required to activate the Termicide tower. For more power, activate the three battery silos located next to the main tower by pressing the yellow button on their control panel.
• Be prepared, as once the Battery Silos get activated Terminid Swarms (Bugs) will start attacking them. You'll have to protect each silo from damage as it may halt the progress and you will have to restart it.
• Once all three silos are fully powered up, proceed to the extraction zone, locate the yellow console, and activate it. Doing so will initiate Termicide dispersal across the planet.
• With the Termicide System purging the planet your mission is complete. Head back to the ship for the next mission.

Equipping yourself correctly is essential when activating the Terminid Control System. Here are some recommended loadouts for you and your squad:

• Autocannon: Gives explosive damage for crowd control and taking down large targets.
• EMS Mortar Sentry: It's a stratagem that can slow down bugs at the point of breach.
• Eagle Air Strike: This stratagem can be used to wipe a slowed bug swarm.
• Orbital Laser: Powerful for eliminating high-threat enemies.
• G-10 Incendiary Grenades: Area denial against bug swarms.
• Rifles: With less recoil and high ammo capacity for sustained fire against smaller enemies.
• Heavy Armor: As mobility isn't important in these missions, heavy armour can be useful.
