When you reach the end of God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, Kratos faces a younger version of himself sitting on a throne. The ending to Valhalla reconciles the events of the classic God of War games and the newer titles that began with the 2018 instalment. It also serves as a way of acknowledging the success of the past games which laid the foundation for where the series is today.
