Ever since Epic Games acquired Mediatonic, Fall Guys developers, in March 2021, there have been small crossovers between both games. Most entailed doing quests in a game to receive rewards in the other one so fans have been waiting eagerly for a proper crossover.
The recent roadmap leaks confirmed rumblings of a proper collaboration between the two games. Now, it's time to find out exactly what that means for players, so let's break down everything you can expect from the Fortnite x Fall Guys crossover.
Fortnite x Fall Guys Release Date
As we've mentioned, the Fortnite 2024 roadmap leaks confirmed the existence of a crossover with Fall Guys, which was set to release during at some point during May.
Sadly, the Fortnite Creators Twitter account confirmed that the crossover will need more time in the oven and will now launch at some point during Summer 2024.
Fortnite x Fall Guys Modes
As this collaboration will be heavily geared towards players creating experiences with the Fortnite Unreal Editor, users will be able to craft their own minigames with unique assets and animations, as well as the iconic Fall Guys beans making their Fortnite debut.
Having said that, according to some leakers, the main battle royale mode will also get some love, as players will be able to participate in a minigame whenever they get close to a designated area of the map.
Fortnite x Fall Guys Cosmetics
There has been no confirmation of Fall Guys cosmetics making it into Fortnite, but it's highly likely that at the very least players will get access to things like back blings, pickaxes, and even emotes themed around the little Fall Guys.
As for skins? Well, that remains to be seen. I for one would love to see Fortnite characters rock Fall Guys outfits, but Epic will have to find a way to solve the proportions issue, just like they did with the Peter Griffin skin.
