What are God Chests in Fortnite
Fortnite's rarest chests are the God Chests, and finding one can give you a serious edge. They're packed with top-notch weapons and healing items, but the real prize in these chests is the Mythic Power. By opening a God Chest, you might score the legendary Thunderbolt of Zeus or the Wings of Icarus, giving you a powerful ability that can help you snatch that Victory Royale.
Best Chest Spawn Locations
The Underworld
Having a total of six God Chests, the Underworld becomes an area of prime importance. The Gothic-Style building hosts 5 of these chests. The one remaining is found close to the shore at the left of the area.
- Be Warned! Underworld is a hot spot as of right now with players choosing to drop in head first for the best loot.
- Quick Tip: You can use the Underworld river buff which grants you three dashes to quickly run through the heat of fire.
Grim Gate
Grim Gate is another hotspot for loot, boasting a whopping five God Chests stashed within its main building! Be on the lookout for two more God Chests outside the structure, one by the road and another cleverly hidden under a tree. These exterior chests offer a higher risk though, as they're more exposed to enemies. If you land at Grim Gate but decide to relocate, hop in the river! The current offers a movement buff, letting you dash to the Underworld in a flash.
Mount Olympus
Mount Olympus offers a chance to loot the legendary home of the Greek Gods, but with fewer God Chests compared to other areas (Four Chests). Don't be discouraged though, these chests are still brimming with high-tier loot!
- Look for 2 God Chests tucked away inside buildings.
- One sits casually near a Mount Olympus sitting area, easy to grab.
- The final chest sits high up the mountainside. The climb might be tricky, but the reward is a fantastic vantage point for scouting the area.
