The Prey of the Pack side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be accepted from Morris in the Checkpoint Rest Town. Morris is concerned that his grandson has not returned home yet leaving you wanting to know how to find Rodge.
After talking with the townspeople in the Checkpoint Rest Town, you learn that Rodge was last seen in a cave that’s frequently inhabited by wolves. Naturally, you need to head up there, find Rodge, and deliver him back home. However, there are some quirks to this side quest that can lead you astray. One of the main hurdles is finishing up the quest, where you need to inform Morris of Rodge’s wellbeing.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Rodge location
Rodge is located in a cave to the east of the Checkpoint Rest Town. The area you need to go to is marked on your map, so getting there isn’t too difficult.
Once you arrive, head inside the cave to find Rodge surrounded by some wolves. Defeat the wolves and then speak to Rodge, who’s terrified and just wants to go home.
Here’s where the quest gets a little tricky. Your new objective is to “inform Morris of Rodge’s wellbeing,” which leads you to believe that you simply need to return to Morris and tell him Rodge has been found safe.
Rodge also says he can get home on his own, so if you’re like me, then you simply run straight to the Checkpoint Rest Town after finding Rodge.
However, that’s not what you need to do. Instead, you need to physically escort Rodge from the cave all the way back to Morris’ shop in town. On your map, you’ll see Rodge has a yellow quest marker on his location, indicating his location and how far away he is from you. You just need to make sure his marker stays within range of you until you reach Morris.
If you left Rodge behind, you can simply return to the cave where you found him and he should be inside waiting for you. Then, once you find him again, escort him safely back.
There shouldn’t be a scenario where Rodge isn’t at the cave if you left him behind initially unless he somehow died. If that happens, your quest might not be able to be completed unless you can reload a previous save. However, if you rested at an inn in between leaving Rodge behind and going back to get him, you might be out of luck.
Once you reach Morris’ shop with Rodge, you can speak to Morris and complete the Prey of the Pack quest. Doing so rewards you with gold, XP, and a discount at Morris’ shop in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This is quite useful, as Morris sells Salubrious Draught and other healing items you can use to your advantage in combat.
