In order to summon a golem in Diablo 4, you will need to open your Book of the Dead. There you will have to open the Golems tab and choose the type of golem you want to summon. In order to make this creature available, you will need to pick one of two enhancements that each golem has.

After you choose an enhancement for your golem, you will be able to drag the Golem skill to your skill bar. This ability summons and re-summons the creature automatically. If you try to use this skill, you will activate the ability of your golem.

How to unlock golems in Diablo 4

Your Necromancer is unable to summon golems until you complete a certain quest. It is called “Call of the Underworld” and unlocks at level 25. Here’s what you need to do to complete it:

  • Go to the Shrine of Rathma and interact with it.
  • Talk to Maltorius.
  • Collect 12 Unbroken Bones by defeating various enemies.
  • Talk to Maltorius again.
  • Go to the cave marked on your map.
  • Interact with another altar and defeat all the spirits that will appear after that.
  • Now you are able to summon the Bone Golem!

The other two golems should become available once you reach certain levels in your class. The Blood Golem will unlock at Level 28 and the Iron Golem at Level 32.

Golems are incredibly useful minions as they can deal massive damage and disable your enemies. However, you can’t have more than one of them in your army.
