September 13 - Learn everything about Diablo 4 pre order bonuses.

The Diablo 4 pre order bonuses are cosmetic items that you can use in-game. However, not all of them are technically "equipped." This is primarily due to the types of items you'll acquire.

Our Diablo 4 pre order bonuses guide takes a look at the different cosmetics that are part of your purchase of the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions. We also discuss how you can make use of them in-game.

How to equip and use Diablo 4 pre order bonuses

Below, we've listed the Diablo 4 pre order bonuses that you can use in this game based on the official store page.

Standard Edition Pre order

  • Lightbearer Mount
  • Caparison of Faith Mount Armor

Deluxe Edition

  • Temptation Mount
  • Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor
  • Includes Standard Edition bonuses

Ultimate Edition

Mounts and mount armor pre order bonuses

Your character technically doesn't equip these Diablo 4 pre order bonuses. Rather, they're selected via the stable interface. This is unlocked by completing a quest that occurs early in Act 4.

Once you have access to the stables, you'll be able to select a mount, as well as mount armor. This interface includes selections such as the Lightbearer Mount and Temptation Mount.

If you check the second tab, you may select the Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor and Caparison of Faith Mount Armor, too.

Once you've completed the Act 4 quest to obtain a horse, you can select your preorder bonus mount and mount armor.

How to equip Wings of the Creator emote

The Diablo 4 Wings of the Creator pre order bonus is solely obtained if you purchase the Ultimate Edition. This cosmetic is quite unlike the wings that we've seen in Diablo 3, which are equipped as special items or effects. Instead, this is merely an emote, one that mimics the angelic wings of Inarius.

To activate it, you'll need to open your emote wheel. This is done by pressing E on a keyboard or up on a D-pad. It won't be there by default, so you need to press the Customise prompt, then select it from the list. Once you do this, you can press the relevant emote wheel hotkey or button so it can be activated.

The Wings of the Creator cosmetic will disappear the moment you move since it's only an emote. You'll need to reactivate it via the emote wheel interface.

Again, this is only an emote. While your character is stationary, you'll see its grand design. However, once you move, the effect will be gone until you reactivate it.

And there you have it. This is how you use or equip Diablo 4 pre order bonuses. Diablo 4 is available via Battle.net. For more information about the game, you can visit our Diablo 4 guides hub.
