There are several side quests that you may come across in Diablo 4, and some of these pose challenges in terms of puzzles and riddles to solve. This includes the Traveler's Superstition quest which we'll be tackling in this guide below.

The Traveler's Superstition side quest in Diablo 4 is a riddle-based quest that requires players a specific emote in-game to complete. Our walkthrough breaks down where you can start the quest and how to accomplish it to gain the quest's rewards. It's fairly easy to complete the quest as long as you follow our instructions.

How to complete Traveler's Superstition quest in Diablo 4

The Traveler's Superstition side quest in the game is found in the Rotspill Delta area within the Hawezar zone, on the east side of the map beside some shipwrecks along the coast. To get to Rotspill Delta, you'll have to travel through waypoints to get there.

The nearest waypoint to warp to would be the Backwater Waypoint in Hawezar down the south. Another option is through The Tree of Whispers waypoint found in Diablo 4's main campaign found in north of Hawezar. Though take note that heading to the Backwater waypoint requires you to complete a Stronghold before it unlocks.

To activate the side quest, you must interact with a Hastily Scrawled Note which is found hidden underneath a rock beside a giant statue of a woman. The note has text that reads, "Pay your respects to her, and she will see you safely on your way. Ignore her, and suffer the fate of these poor fools."

This riddle simply refers to the giant statue beside the rock you found the note. In terms of paying respect, all players have to do is emote in front of the statue to accomplish the side quest.

To do this, while standing in front of the statue, you can use the Hello emote to pay respect to the statue. This is done by enabling the emote wheel with the Up button on the D-pad or pressing E on your keyboard. You'll be able to select the Hello emote from the emote wheel. Once you do this, you'll be able to complete the side quest.

The completed quest will spawn for you a chest next to the statue. The rewards in the chest will contain experience points, gold, 20+ Hawezar Renown, and two random elixirs.
