How to get the new ending in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

To unlock Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty's new ending, you'll have to play through the entire DLC storyline before completing the end of the base game. You're able to begin the Phantom Liberty DLC as soon as you've finished up the main story in Pacifica.

The story in Phantom Liberty has been described by CD Projekt Red as a spy thriller with "explosive action and quiet, compelling intrigue." In order to unlock the new ending, each one of the 13 DLC missions must be completed.

One major decision you'll make part-way through the Phantom Liberty DLC will have critical consequences on the outcome of the DLC storyline. In turn, it may have significant knock on effects for your main game ending.

As with the base game, rolling the final credits does not necessarily mark the end of V's story. This is very much the case with the Phantom Liberty DLC. You'll be launched into an epilogue following the final Phantom Liberty story mission, that'll vary depending on the choices you make.

The outcome of the epilogue may require you to progress further in the base game's story. You may have to do this before you are able to witness the full impact of the consequences of your decisions.

That's everything you need to know in order to unlock the new ending in Cyberpunk 2077. For more Phantom Liberty content, check out our guide on how to get into Dogtown, or our guide on how the new armour system works in update 2.0.
