While we wait, check out the Modern Warfare 2 perks on their way to multiplayer.
Secondary weapons in Call of Duty are sometimes just as important as the primary weapon players choose as part of a loadout. Depending on the style of play, some players prefer to use a pistol but there are some that enjoy utilising a launcher in order to gain an advantage over the opposition.
As the launch of Modern Warfare 2 nears, leaks on various elements of multiplayer keep appearing much to the excitement of fans waiting on Infinity Ward's next dose of information.
In addition to leaks on Killstreaks and Modern Warfare 2 maps, another leak reveals plenty of new additions to the arsenal alongside some familiar weapons from previous Modern Warfare games. With that said, is the PILA in Modern Warfare 2? Here's what we know.
Is the PILA in Modern Warfare 2?
According to the leaked list of guns and weapons, the PILA will return in Modern Warfare 2. Thanks to its lock-on capabillity and ability to fire it without having acquired a target, the launcher is arguably one of the most versatile in the Call of Duty franchise.
Having the chance to destroy a vehicle with ease alongside firing a rocket into a busy area of the map opens the door for plenty of chances to deal huge amounts of damage over the course of a match.

PILA Call of Duty history
The PILA made its Call of Duty debut in 2019's Modern Warfare and made its way into Warzone in March 2020. They're the only two games it's featured in so far.
With 2022's Modern Warfare 2 acting as a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare, it's not surprising to see the launcher return for a second time.
Is the PILA in the Modern Warfare 2 beta?
The beta acts as the first opportunity for players to get their hands on Modern Warfare 2. Although it's only a small slice of what the full game has to offer, it gives fans an idea of what to expect.
Like the previous Call of Duty betas, a small selection from each weapon category will be available and there's a strong possibility of the PILA featuring within the launcher category.
If it doesn't appear in the beta, the first opportunity to use it will be when the full build of Modern Warfare 2 launches in October.
That's everything we know about the PILA launcher set to arrive in Modern Warfare 2. Once the beta begins, don't forget to check back for the best PILA Modern Warfare 2 loadout to use.
