How to use waypoints in Baldur's Gate 3

In Baldur's Gate 3, you can use waypoints to fast travel from one point to another. To use this feature, you should do the following:

  • Open the map by pressing M on the keyboard or the control button on the controller.
  • On the right side of the screen, select the desired Waypoint from the list.
  • Click on it in order to fast-travel.

Another way to use this feature is to click on them on the map. Pay attention that before you can use one, you first need to activate it. For this, you just need to come close to the waypoint.

In Baldur's Gate 3, waypoints can be identified as purple circles with imprinted runes on them. They are painted on the walls, and another in-game name for it is the Ancient Sigil Circle.

How to unlock more locations

You will unlock more waypoints as you progress through Baldur's Gate 3. Often each city contains one waypoint for convenience, and every big dungeon also has one. On average, each game location contains three to five Ancient Sigil Circles. For each unlocked waypoint, you will get experience points too.
