Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 release time countdown

Baldur's Gate 3 releases on PS5 on September 6, 2023, but when exactly does the game unlock and the servers switch on? That hasn't been confirmed yet, but we suspect the game will release at midnight in your local time.

It's worth noting that all early access saves won't transfer over once the game releases across the world. You'll have to clear your progress and restart from scratch.

Although early access players may have had a chance to experience a small slice of what Baldur's Gate 3 has to offer, the reset means everyone will start from the beginning of Act 1.

Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 preload and download size details

You can't preload the game quite yet, and it's not clear if you will be able to at all, but you will need a lot of space on your PS5 to download Baldur's Gate 3.

It's looking like you'll need somewhere between 120 and 150GB of free space to install the game.

Since it's a massive RPG that's been in early access for quite a while, that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.
