The best skills in Assassin's Creed Mirage favour rapid kills and additional utility by way of tools. Just remember that the game is more linear, unlike its counterparts (i.e. Odyssey and Valhalla). As such, you only earn skill points by advancing the main quest or by obtaining Lost Books. You won't have a lot of skill points to spare, not until you're almost done with the campaign. However, you can always do a reset so you can reallocate your points.

Best Phantom skills

Phantom skills are for those that rely more on quick assassinations and getting into the thick of the fray in combat situations. Here are our recommendations (take note that you still need to acquire a prerequisite skill):

• Assassin's Focus Capacity 1 and 2 - Gain additional Focus pips so you can do rapid kills via the resource.
• Chain Assassination - After performing a normal assassination, you'll be able to toss a Throwing Knife for another quick kill.
• Counter Roll - Dodge toward an enemy when it does an unblockable attack so you can go behind them. This lets you strike down armoured foes if you weren't able to assassinate them prior to detection.

Best Trickster skills

Some of the best skills in Assassin's Creed Mirage are found in the Trickster branch, though try not to go overboard. This column has several perks for those that like using items and tools:

• Auto-Collect - This is the initial prerequisite skill, so you're bound to get it. This lets you automatically loot items after a stealth kill.
• Elixir Pocket - This is the only skill that grants an extra Elixir charge.
• Extra Tool Capacity 1 - You'll be able to unlock an extra tool/gadget, apart from the Torch and Throwing Knife, which are available as part of the campaign.
