When GTA 5 was the first PS5 game shown during Sony’s first showcase for the new console, many jokes and memes were made about how the game will never die, so it’s kind of ironic to see a number of fans wondering when we will get this PS5 upgrade of a PS4 remaster of a PS3 game that also happens to have an addicting online game.

When Is The GTA 5 Next-Gen Update?

Rockstar Games has confirmed the “expanded and enhanced” versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 11, 2021.

We expected GTA 5 on next-gen to come sooner since, well, there aren’t exactly a lot of console must-owns right now aside from Demon’s Souls on the PS5.

Most of the big-name games coming out are cross-gen aside from a few noteworthy titles like Returnal so not seeing GTA 5 next-gen yet has been mildly surprising, though we’re sure Rockstar Games have some big surprises to make the wait worth it.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online are now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
