How To Fix GTA Online 'Files Required' Error Message

Fans will be happy to know that there is a way to overcome the GTA Online ‘files required’ bug, though it’s a bit complicated since it differs from PC to console.

Still, fans have a way to overcome the ‘files required’ mess and continue playing with their friends, especially since more updates are likely.

PC players will be able to overcome this by heading to their firewall to see if GTA.5.exe has been blocked and unblocking it to make the game playable again.

On PS4 and Xbox One you have to reconfigure the console’s network DNS to make GTA Online playable again.

Make the primary DNS 84.200.69.80, while the secondary DNS should be 84.200.70.40, which is fairly easy to do if you’re used to your console.

GTA 5 and GTA Online are now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
