Getting next-gen consoles is terrific, but navigating the system’s UI can be a little tricky at first.

How To Setup Your Xbox Series X or Series S

Setting up a new console can be a real hassle, right?

Without a dedicated keyboard, it can take ages to type out your account details, especially if you have a long or complex email and password like some of us!

Though, if you go in prepared, there’s an easier option for setting up your Xbox Series X or Series S.

All you need is a smartphone.

When you are setting up your Xbox Series X, or Series S, you’ll reach a point where you are asked to set up using your Xbox App.

If you have this app on your smartphone and are logged into it you can use the onscreen verification codes to quickly set up your new console with your account.

If you use the account from your Xbox one on your Xbox App, and your Xbox One is regularly connected to the internet, you can also choose to import your Xbox settings and data automatically!

To download the Xbox App, visit the Google Play or Apple App store and search for it.

The app is free, and will be made by Microsoft.

If the app you are downloading is not free or wasn’t made by Microsoft, it probably isn’t the one you should be using and be wary of sharing your account info with them! 

But, once you have the right downloaded and set up, setting up your Xbox Series X, or Series S, console should be super duper easy!
