CD Projekt RED has announced a new Witcher game coming to mobile.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer was announced through an announcement trailer today.

It's fair to say fans of The Witcher have mixed feelings about the mobile title.

Mobile games have garnered a poor reputation over the years, particularly surrounding the subject of microtransactions.

However, if there's any developer that will deliver a quality mobile game, it's CD Projekt RED.

What Do We Know About The Game?

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a game in which players study, hunt and slay monsters from the Witcher universe.

The game is based in augmented reality and involves players tracking monsters down in the real world.

Here is the official description of the game:

"The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a location-based augmented-reality RPG that challenges you to become a professional monster hunter. Venture out into the world around you and use your mobile device to track witcher-world monsters that roam close-by. Track these monsters and prepare for combat using time of day, weather conditions, and your witcher knowledge to gain an advantage on your quest to becoming an elite monster slayer."

As of yet, the title does not have a release date.

However, in a recent tweet CD Projekt RED used the term "soon", so we can expect the title to be released in the near future.
