When it comes to introducing seasonal events, Warzone often delivers a unique experience for those dropping into the action. Known for its Halloween spectacles featuring nighttime maps and the appearance of zombies, players enjoy the change of pace during the spooky season.

Previous Halloween events have seen the appearances of Ghostface from the Scream movies and even Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. However, a change in the cycle means Caldera may not receive a Halloween event at all.

With the Pacific era rumoured to end after Season 5 and the launch of Modern Warfare 2 following shortly afterwards, some members of the community are beginning to wonder if the battle royale will feature a Halloween event.

Will Caldera get a Halloween event?

Although Halloween is still a few months away, speculation surrounding the next big seasonal Warzone event is already taking place. Reddit user “Redditman1534” asks the question “What do we think the Halloween event is going to be?” The user suggests a potential crossover with the Alien vs Predator universe coinciding with Caldera’s jungles.

Rather than some kind of collaboration, one commenter suggests the return of Krampus to the Pacific island. “Whoever survives and kills the most Krampus wins,” suggests the user. “I’d have to throw my console out,” jokes another user that’s not a fan of the Christmas devil reappearing.

The idea of an Alien vs Predator crossover sounds like an exciting prospect. However, the widespread backlash from the arrival of Godzilla and King Kong could deter Activision and Raven Software from another crossover anytime soon.

Instead of an Alien vs Predator collaboration, current rumours suggest Call of Duty is joining forces with the Umbrella Academy for its next crossover. The supernatural abilities of the characters could tie in with Halloween but for now, it’s best to take the rumours with a pinch of salt.

Considering Season 5 isn’t far away, there’s a high chance of the first teasers for Warzone’s Halloween plans appearing so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any unusual additions to Caldera. For more, check out our guide showcasing the best Warzone sniper rifle to use in Season 4 Reloaded.
