Warzone players slam inconsistent hit registration

Hit registration in Warzone is a hugely important part of the battle royale. Thanks to numerous factors ranging from internet connection to the tick rate of a server, Raven Software tries to ensure the shots you fire eventually hit the intended target.

With the final season of the Pacific era coming to an end, players continue to battle on Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island. As they attempt to become the last one standing at the end of a match, some are struggling to land their shots.

Despite maintaining high levels of accuracy and having no connection issues, one player claims they’re experiencing hit registration issues when using a range of sniper rifles.

Inconsistent hit registration ruining Warzone

After testing numerous snipers over the course of a match, Reddit user “nick838321” reveals the HDR from Modern Warfare and Vanguard’s 3-Line Rifle are the main culprits. “Every night that I play I get a tonne of no-regs on my sniper shots,” says the player.

With others experiencing similar issues, one commenter believes there’s a logical reason why Warzone hit registration is proving problematic for many. User “flippakitten” believes Raven Software is hard at work preparing for the launch of Warzone 2. “They’re reallocating servers to the new game most likely.” If this is the case, there’s very little players can do to improve hit registration.

The allocation of resources would explain the sudden bursts of lag some players experience shortly before entering a fight against another player. With Call of Duty’s new battle royale experience right around the corner, the likelihood of sudden lag spikes and inconsistent hit registration receiving a fix is slim.

Warzone’s trip to the Pacific hasn’t been the smoothest of sailing and despite the best efforts of Raven Software, many are looking forward to leaving Caldera behind for pastures new.
