Whether it’s game-breaking bugs or a new Operator skin that’s impossible to see, Warzone players have opinions on every aspect of the battle royale. With Season 5 well underway, players continue to drop into the action for one final season of Caldera.

Throughout the latest season of post-launch content, the franchise has joined forces with the Umbrella Academy Netflix series to release two bundles featuring Cha-Cha and Hazel donning their unique headgear.

While some fans are already using the skins along with the best Warzone guns, one player claims Raven Software has “given up on the game” due to its design that stands out from the crowd.

Have devs given up on Warzone?

The release of the Cha-Cha bundle has led to Reddit user “_bean_and_cheese” claiming that Raven Software has abandoned Warzone. Although the developer may start focusing on Warzone 2 in the not-too-distant future, the user says “the devs have just given up on this game when they approved to release this skin.”

With Raven Software regularly applying updates and listening to community feedback, it’s safe to say that it’s not given up on Warzone in any capacity.

The Pacific era saw the arrival of Godzilla, King Kong, and even the Terminator as part of various crossovers in a bid to inject a breath of fresh air into the game with many enjoying the experiences.

Other players were quick to share their thoughts on the topic. With no signs of Raven Software halting support of Warzone anytime soon, one user jokes the post is “almost as funny as seeing how worked up fully grown adults get over a silly mask in a video game.”

Crossovers and collaborations will continue appearing in Warzone but there’s little chance of a brightly-coloured skin affecting developer support. With Warzone 2 on the horizon, the next chapter will act as a clean slate with no skins from the current game crossing over.
