Twitch Finally Speaks Out About Dr Disrespect Ban

One of life's many mysteries is why Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch.

The superstar was mysteriously banned from the biggest streaming platform in the world back in June 2020 and no-one is any wiser as to why he was actually banned.

Having battled against anxiety since that moment, the Doc has returned and is on the rise again streaming on YouTube.

Just like an ex you're trying to forget, Twitch has come back to revisit the rough break up.

Twitch Speak About Dr Disrespect Ban?

Twitch held a 2020 Transparency Report breakdown with Head of Creator Development, djWheat, and Global VP of Trust and Safety, Angela Hession.

During the report, one viewer name kylexy3 couldn't help but ask: “Any Dr Disrespect news??”

The response was:

“As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service,” Twitch said of the matter. “These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”

Twitch had previously released a statement on the subject, but it appears to be a similar answer given in other high-profile streamer bannings.

What made this situation so bizarre was how both parties were so silent on the matter; both Twitch and Dr Disrespect have refused to reveal specific details.

This banning has prevented Dr Disrespect from participating in streamer tournaments such as the $100k Toronto Ultra Warzone Tournament.

It looks like they will both still keep that secret to themselves.
