Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater: Jack Black Might Be In The Remake

Back in May, actor Jack Black posted a video called “This Is Tony Hawk, a Pro Skater” to his YouTube channel, Jablinski Games.

Apparently, Black and Tony Hawk are friends who play video games together — including the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. Makes sense to me.

Well, it looks like Black’s going to make an appearance in the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2 remake. NME spotted a Reddit post that claims Black will portray Officer Dick, a longtime character featured throughout the THPS series.

“In the TV commercial for the N64 port of THPS, Tony Hawk is followed by three fat cops on skateboards,” the Tony Hawk’s Fandom wiki explains. “[Dick’s] name is probably a reference to the constant conflict between skaters and policemen.”

The leaked image of Black’s in-game appearance certainly appears to be legitimate; it matches the art style of the game perfectly, and was purportedly found by data miners sifting through files in the THPS “warehouse” demo on PC.

The game hits PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 4.
