Pokemon Sword and Shield will be bringing its first major DLC, through its brand new Expansion Pass, named 'The Isle of Armor'. The Isle of Armor, which is one of two new adventures, is a new island located in the Galar region where players can continue their quest to be a Pokemon master; it will release later this year.
Pokemon Sword and Shield released in November 2019 and after almost three months of being on the market, it has already announced more content. The game came under scrutiny for being "shorter" than past adventures, but with these expansions, it will greatly increase the gameplay available.

What Is The Isle Of Armor?
Isle of Armor represents the first DLC coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield's Expansion Pass (the expansion pass also feature The Crown Tundra).
Nintendo has revealed that the theme for this first expansion revolves around 'Growth'
The adventure is set on an island, just off of the shores of the Galar region; which plays host to the main Sword and Shield adventure.
It has been confirmed that players will be able to pick up from where they left off in the main game.
You'll encounter new Pokemon, characters, costumes, rivals and features as you explore the beautiful nature within The Isle of Armor.
DLC 1 will feature a Dojo for Pokemon battles, where you'll take up an apprenticeship under Mustard. Mustard is the owner of the Dojo and your new mentor; he was also the former mentor of champion Leon.
This expansion features open and seamless gameplay, similar to the wild area within the main game, allowing players to roam around freely and control the camera; Max raid battles will also return.
What Is The Expansion Pass?
The Expansion Pass will host two new adventures:
- The Isle of Armor
- The Crown Tundra
The Isle of Armor will release first with The Crown Tundra following after.

Price
The Expansion Pass will cost $29.99 or £26.99 in the UK.
The expansion pass is available for pre-purchase now.
When players pre-purchase they will receive a free Pikachu Uniform and Eevee Uniform that can be equipped right away.
Release Date
The Isle of Armor will launch toward the end of June 2020 release date.
It's hard to pinpoint a date, game releases tend to come on a Tuesday or Friday.
Based on past Pokemon release patterns, it's likely to arrive on a Friday.
