Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in the same universe as the Batman Arkham games and it might not be the only one. DC Studios CEO James Gunn said there might be more games set in the Arkhamverse and, if we’re being honest, there shouldn’t be anymore.

A fan asked Gunn on Threads (via Culture Crave) if Kill the Justice League would be the final game set in Rocksteady’s Arkham universe. Gunn said “No plans on it being the last” before eventually deleting the tweet, though that doesn’t disprove anything.

Fans are mixed on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League being set in the Arkhamverse, especially after the passing of iconic Batman actor Kevin Conroy. To be fair, Conroy’s death took many by surprise and Rocksteady didn’t plan on this being his last performance of the character.

Not helping Suicide Squad right now are the rampant leaks that have been making their way online. While some of them have been debunked, some proof has since shown that the recent leaks are much more legitimate. If you don’t want this game spoiled for you, do not look for the game on Twitter.

However, it’s not just the recent leaks that have hurt Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as many gamers are down on the live-service aspect. More DLC characters might spice things up, but this is a pretty story-centric title and somehow making this a live-service game is going to feel weird.

Admittedly, it’s not all doom and gloom surrounding Kill the Justice League, as recent trailers have been a small improvement. The game will also get an offline mode patched in after launch, ensuring that everyone will be able to play this. Let’s just hope that the gameplay loop will keep gamers excited since everything else seems pretty bog standard.
