Remedy Register ‘Alan Wake’s Return’ Trademark

Remedy Register ‘Alan Wake’s Return’ Trademark

Remedy Entertainment, the developers behind the iconic video game series’ Max Payne and Alan Wake, have excited fans with the prospect of a sequel by registering a trademark for ‘Alan Wake’s Return’.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, a post on NeoGAF also indicated that the domain alanwakesreturn.com was registered last year by the same proxy as previous Remedy domains. In addition to this, the post also reveals that the new trademark was processed via the FastTrack option, suggesting someone was in a hurry.

The reason behind this may be due to the release of Remedy’s upcoming title, Quantum Break. The PC and Xbox One time manipulation third-person shooter, is set for release on April 5th, 2016 and it was recently announced that the Xbox One version will launch with a backwards compatible copy of the original Alan Wake.

Coincidence? Only time will tell.
