The very first game trailer for Sony's upcoming Ratchet and Clank title has been released.
Today, Sony revealed the first trailer for their re-imagining of Ratchet and Clank, which is set to release exclusively on PlayStation 4. The trailer is a combination of in-game footage and clips from the upcoming movie. Both the feature film and video game are scheduled for release in Spring of 2016 at this moment.
Following the unveiling of this trailer, Sony also released an 8 minute gameplay video to provide further insight into exactly how the title will look and feel.
Insomniac posted the following on the PlayStation Blog about the title and trailer releases.
"We knew early on that we didn't want to just up-res Ratchet & Clank for PS2. We started out thinking of Ratchet & Clank on PS4 as a 're-imagining' of the 2002 original, revised to tie in with the deeper version of Ratchet’s origin story (as seen in the film). We envisioned a curated Ratchet & Clank experience that borrowed from the spirit of the classic PS2 games while infusing some of the best elements from the Ratchet & Clank Future games."
