PlayStation has made the PC one of its home systems in recent years, porting various PS5 games to Steam and more in various years. It looks like this is a tradition that Sony is willing to continue, as Kenichiro Yoshida, the company’s CEO, has promised to bring more games to PC.

Speaking with Norges Bank Investment Management (via Insider Gaming), Yoshida has said that bringing PlayStation games to PC, mobile, and the cloud will still be a priority. While they won’t be released at the same time as the PS5 versions, Yoshida insists that PC, mobile, and cloud are core products for Sony.

“It will be ubiquitous,” Yoshida said. “Wherever there is computing, users will be able to play their favorite games seamlessly. Why PlayStation will remain our core product [is] we will expand our gaming experiences to PC, mobile, and cloud.”

The current initiative to bring PlayStation games to PC remains a strong one, with plans to bring Horizon Forbidden West to computers this year. Fans are also hoping to see The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on computers after the recent PS5 re-release. Of course, we also want to see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC since that was last year’s best PS5 game.

Fans are also hoping to see God of War Ragnarok and Ghost of Tsushima on PC soon, though we haven’t been given any indication of those releases yet. Ragnarok seems likely since the first game is on PC but fans might have to wait a bit longer for Ghost of Tsushima, as Sony will likely time that with the movie’s release.

Despite Sony being on top of the world right now, the company has made some baffling decisions for the PlayStation brand. We recently saw Sony increase the price of every PS Plus subscription, which many fans are still bitter about. Although PlayStation Plus Premium is a quality enough service, the lack of consistent classic releases and reliance on cloud gaming for PS3 games has soured many on a subscription.
