Palworld is already being seen as a Pokémon alternative, with numerous fans flocking to the game on Steam and Xbox, even though it's on Game Pass. It’s only been a few days but fans have already made a Pokémon mod for the Pokémon-like survival game, which will please gamers and anger Game Freak.

YouTuber Toasted Shoes has posted a video of this mod in action on Twitter and it has fans of Pokémon going crazy. Based on the footage, players now control Ash and most of the creatures have been replaced by Pokémon. So if anyone ever wanted to see Ash smack these creatures in the mouth and give them guns, they now can.

We don’t see Pokémon use guns in this Palworld mod, but the user does show these creatures doing various survival crafting mechanics. Ash even gets to ride Sawsbuck in the wild, something fans have wanted to do in the modern Pokémon titles. Misty and Brock are also seen wielding weapons, adding more comedy to this already ridiculous game.

Toasted Shoes posts content like this on the regular, with his YouTube channel being home to videos where Mortal Kombat 1 fighters are replaced by Disney characters. Fans who are interested in wacky mods should consider subscribing to his YouTube channel when they get the chance.

Considering how many copies Palworld has sold, we shouldn’t be surprised by how quickly this mod was made. Still, it’s only been a few days, showing just how talented some of these modders are. That being said, we dread to think about who replaces that one Pal who sleeps with people, but there’s a very good chance it will be Jynx.

Despite all of the success surrounding this game, there’s also a fair bit of controversy as well. Fans online have discovered that some of the monsters may have been plagiarised from Pokémon, with the devs possibly using AI to modify them. The developers have yet to comment on these allegations, so fans may want to wait first before picking this up.
