Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa has not only acknowledged Joy-Con drift, but also apologised for the issue.
As reported by Kotaku, Furukawa was speaking during Nintendo's 80th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

"Regarding the Joy-Con, we apologize for any trouble caused to our customers", Furukawa explained.
“We are continuing to aim to improve our products, but as the Joy-Con is the subject of a class-action lawsuit in the United States and this is still a pending issue, we would it like to refrain from responding about any specific actions.”
The "stick drift" essentially causes the Switch's nifty controllers to detect inputs that aren't there, as the stick is moved off of the centre point of its axis.
Given that COVID-19 has led to Nintendo's repair centres shutting down, it's arguably a bigger problem than ever, as fans have no ETA on when they can get their controllers repaired.
