Modern Warfare 2 players uncover unlimited Battle Pass token glitch

For those looking to get their hands on new content in Modern Warfare 2, purchasing the Battle Pass is often the way to go. Containing everything ranging from new weapons to exclusive Operator skins, there’s always an abundance of items to earn.

With Season 3 Reloaded moving into view, fans are working through the sectors to get their hands on the FJX Imperium and Cronen Squall which are both proving popular in multiplayer.

One area of concern that always frustrates players is the progression rate. Thanks to the discovery of a bug, players can earn an unlimited amount of Battle Pass tokens enabling them to complete it in a few minutes.

Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass token glitch speeds up progression

Uncovered by Reddit user Appztract, the glitch ties in with the Trophy Hunt event which kicked off alongside the start of Season 3.

“Make sure you got 14 items unlocked and use the 15th on the Battle Pass Token reward. Every time you buy it, back out of the Events tab and repeat. Restart your game and you will have a Battle Pass Token for every time you purchased it this way,” reveals the user.

As expected, other members of the community were quick to take advantage of the exploit. “About five minutes of back and forth to the event tab, a quick restart, and poof, 100 tokens,” comments one player.

However, it appears Infinity Ward was quick to spot the exploit. Some players eager to finish the Battle Pass as soon as possible are already reporting the trick has received a patch. “They just patched it after 1 hour. But of course, for the game-breaking stuff they need weeks upon weeks,” replies one player that missed out on the tokens.
