LEGO Fortnite is perhaps one of the hottest commodities in gaming right now, but it is already shooting itself in the foot as a result of its restrictions. Countless players are now quitting the game just three weeks after its release due to their inability to expand on their impressive, detailed and time-consuming builds.

Many of the LEGO Fortnite player base are taking to Reddit to express their disdain at the game's building limits, which are notifying players that they cannot continue to contribute bricks to their creations. User Mogami_MGA ignited the discussion with his post on the platform, explaining that his castle had been hit with a "very high building complexity" notice and he was advised he could not continue with his build.

Players are naturally discouraged and outright annoyed at the restrictions some are being hit with, with many pointing out the irony of being told they are limited on how much they can build in a building game. What is adding to their frustrations is the inconsistency of the limitation, as some players are seeing much larger builds than their own that are without the same restrictions. Given the reputation LEGO has for fuelling the creativity and imagination of its fans, it doesn't bode well in the game's early stages.

LEGO Fortnite was released on December 7 as a part of popular battle royale Fortnite's huge expansion, looking to offer something new to the existing player base and draw an even bigger crowd into the franchise. Coinciding with the release of other expansions such as Rocket Racing, it marked the beginning of a new era for Fortnite.

Given the whole basis of LEGO Fortnite is to build to your heart's content, many players are hoping that this restriction will be lifted in short order, which is a reasonable expectation, given the title is still in its infancy. It would be in the Epic Games' best interests to correct the matter as soon as they can, as players continue to make their way to the exit.
