Uncharted's Director Working on a Jak and Daxter Movie

Not long after Tom Holland shared an interest in making a Jak and Daxter movie, it turns out Uncharted director Ruben Fleischer is in discussions to make that happen. While an actual Jak and Daxter movie isn't official yet, Fleischer and Sony are in talks to make the movie.

Speaking with Digital Trends, Fleischer said he's working with PlayStation, confirming:

“I’m actually working on Jak and Daxter, a version of that, for PlayStation, which I think would be really cool to bring to life.”

Fleischer doesn’t say anything beyond that, so we don’t know if this potential movie will be live-action like Uncharted, or take the CG animation route Ratchet and Clank took. Holland mentioned wanting to make Jak and Daxter a creepy live-action movie like certain A24 movies, but that’s just the Spider-Man star sharing his thoughts.

Time will tell if we see Jak and Daxter on the big screen, though PlayStation fans would love to see these characters once again. We haven’t seen a new Jak and Daxter game since Jak and Daxter: The New Frontier on PSP and PS2, though we have seen re-releases of the original games on PS3 and PS4.
