Harmonix has announced that next week’s Rock Band 4 DLC will be the last one, as the company shifts focus to Fortnite Festival from here on out. Luckily, the game will remain online for a bit longer, though Harmonix does tell fans to give the Fortnite rhythm spin-off a shot.

On the company’s official blog, it was announced that the final Rock Band 4 DLC will be coming out next week, on January 25. This comes after eight years of rock-solid support for the rhythm game, as fans have been getting weekly DLC for the longest time.

While this is the end for new Rock Band 4 content, it’s only the beginning for Fortnite Festival, which only launched recently and already has a fanbase. It helps that players can use some of the skins they’ve purchased, so characters like Goku and Eminem can start jamming together.

“If you are a fan of the rhythm game category, Fortnite Festival is the place to be; and with support for RB4 instruments coming, this is not the time to hang up your guitars just yet,” wrote Harmonix’s senior product manager Daniel Sussman.

Fortnite Festival is still a surprise to many, as fans were blown away by the sudden release of this rhythm game spin-off. The fact that it will support Rock Band 4 instruments soon is a good sign, since players who still have these peripherals can use them in a more modern game.

Of course, this isn’t the only fascinating spin-off to come from Fortnite, as Epic’s popular battle royale has two other games that are just as interesting. LEGO Fortnite is less like a battle royale and is a decent survival game with building mechanics, as well as cool creatures to fight. Meanwhile, Rocket Racing is a decent racing game from the creators of Rocket League.

Fortnite Festival is available as part of Fortnite, so fans will need to download the battle royale to play this rhythm game. The game is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and PC through Epic Games.
