From turning Concord's ruins into an idyllic town, creating new power armour variants or giving you the chance to ride around on a Deathclaw, Fallout 4’s modding community has accomplished a massive amount over the years.

That’s without even talking about some of the more massive projects members of it currently have on the go, such as Fallout London and Fallout 4 New Vegas, which will basically resemble fully fledged DLC packs or entire new games by the time they’re done.

If you’ve always been keen to see more of the interesting work that goes on behind the scenes to bring these incredible fan-made works to your load order, you might want to check out a massive charity modding jam being streamed this weekend.

Ever wanted to see an all-star group of Fallout 4 creators make a massive mod from scratch in 12 hours?

Said jam is taking place as part of the Voiceapalooza series of events organised the charity initiative Fallout For Hope and voice actor Wes Johnson, who has lent his dulcet tones to characters ranging from Skyrim’s Sheogorath to Fallout 4’s Silver Shroud, to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.

It’ll see a group of Fallout 4 modders, including the likes of Elianora and Neeher, come together to stream between 8AM and 8PM EST (that's 1PM to 1AM BST) on May 28 while they create the various components of a massive mod that’ll then be playtested live by YouTuber Gopher.

During a planning stream hosted last night by Johnson and modder Kinggath, which you can check out below, the group took votes from audience members who made donations to their cause on what exactly the features of the mod being created should be.

As shared in the initiative’s channel on the the Nexus Mods Discord server, the results of this democratic display mean the crew will be tasked with building a mod that sends a sarcastic entrepreneur on a mystery-filled adventure through Diamond City and Goodneigbor, which will somehow incorporate wielding a shotgun inspired by classic Fallout games and moving into a science-themed player home on the coast.

If that seems like something you’d be interested in watching unfold or supporting via a donation that’ll help those suffering from Alzheimer's, make sure to tune into this specially designed streaming grid during the time period outlined above, so you can get a good look at all of the cool work going on.

Also, before that kicks off you can also check out a special mod, called ‘Voiceapalooza Assortment - A Little Bit Mad Charity Mod’, Elianora and CaptainUltima have already put together in support of the cause, which contains a bunch of cool items, including a Sheogorath-inspired outfit and a piece of cheese you can wear as a hat.

Regardless of whether you’re now counting down the hours until the streams start, make sure to follow us for more updates on interesting mods for Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas. You can also check out our mods of the month for April 2023.
