Announced earlier today, Lost In Cult and Did You Know Gaming? (DYKG) are working in collaboration to produce a dungeon-crawling gaming trivia card game, with the title "Do You Know Gaming?". Players will compete to see whose gaming trivia is the best, as they compete to escape the dreaded Trivia Dungeon.

In Do You Know Gaming, you'll have to slay monsters, collect loot, and level up your character as you answer gaming trivia questions to make your way through the labyrinth. Also, you'll be able to pick from a roster of choice of 18 characters, each with unique stats and abilities, in either single-player or multiplayer campaigns.

Lost In Cult is an independent book publisher and design studio from the UK, whose aim is to celebrate video games as a culturally significant art form. Previously, the studio has collaborated with developers of indie titles such as Sable and Citizen Sleeper, to produce artwork and books detailing the game's design process. Meanwhile, DYKG is a popular YouTube channel and website, focussing on classic video game secrets and trivia.

Throughout a campaign, there are 100 monsters to be encountered by the player. The game's combat mechanics are uniquely centered around answering the trivia question cards, with the difficulty level of each question dictating the damage inflicted on monsters.

Upon defeating these monsters, players can encounter up to 140 loot cards, cards, including consumables, gear, traps, and relics. Upon collecting four relics, players can summon one of five deadly bosses to escape the Trivia Dungeon.

Do You Know Gaming will be released in two different editions: the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. Both include 223 tarot-sized cards and 240 playing-sized cards, but purchasing the Deluxe Edition will include card trays, 4 A3-sized player mats, 3 pin badges, and 4 d10 dice counters.

Scheduled for shipping in Q4 2024, "Do You Know Gaming?" promises to be a significant release, with original characters designed by DYKG's Greg and Dazz, brought to life by Stephen Maurice Graham at Lost In Cult. Additionally, exclusive cards from various indie game developers and content creators have been hinted at by the team behind the game, to be revealed as the game hits each £5,000 milestone.

Already, the first crossover has been announced, with a collaboration with the indie title Cult of the Lamb and YouTuber Caddicarus. We can't wait to see what the other crossovers will be as they're revealed over the coming days.
