Batman: Arkham Knight has received its first major update in years, receiving Robert Pattinson’s amazing costume from 2022’s The Batman. We don’t know why the decision was made to add this costume, but we don’t mind, since it gives us another reason to play the game again.

After some rumbling on Twitter, fans discovered that Battinson’s suit was added to the Epic Games Store version, seemingly by accident. Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have not made a statement about the additional costume, though this might have been a surprise for Switch owners.

Fans did notice that there was some recent Steam activity for Batman: Arkham Knight, though most didn’t assume that a new costume would be added years after release. Although the game did receive some surprise costume releases during its release period, no one expected something like this to happen.

Naturally, many fans are happy, as the suit looks amazing in action and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Rocksteady has done a great job with the movie costumes from Batman V Superman, Tim Burton’s Batman, and The Dark Knight. For completionist’s sake, they should have added the nipple costume from Batman and Robin, but we’ll wait for a braver developer.

Considering how Batman: Arkham Knight is coming to Nintendo Switch alongside Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, this costume’s release is likely tied to it. Hopefully, the costume gets its worldwide release soon, since there’s no way the costume should be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

The Switch version is a good reason to release all previously exclusive DLC to all platforms since it’s been eight years. At the time of writing, the Batman ‘66 and Justice League 3000 costumes are still exclusive to the PS4 version. Warner Bros. hyped up the Switch release having all the DLC, so let’s hope that’s true.
