As Forza Horizon 5 settles post-launch, there are still a few bugs that need to be ironed out. The Wash For 20 seconds Challenge is currently not triggering for most players, even after completing clean laps in Rivals races. There is a workaround to allow you to complete this daily challenge however, involving flagged laps and Rival Races. Lets take a look.

Forza Horizon 5: Wash For 20 Seconds Not Working
The Wash For 20 Seconds daily challenge tasks players with posting a clean lap in a Rivals event. This is pretty easy to do generally, just jump into the Online section of your menus and then into Rivals. The problem is, the challenge is currently bugged for most players. It simply will not trigger even if you meet the requirements.
The Forza Horizon 5 Reddit community has come up with a workaround for this issue. For full details and some more context, visit this Reddit post by u/drakanwolf. Here are the key points:
- Play Dirt Sprint Event
- Bajio Trail (see screenshot below)
- Select Rivals
- A800 Class cars
- Hit a wall while racing, but still beat your Rival's time
- The Challenge should trigger upon returning to Free Roam
We can confirm that this method worked for us, as you can see in the screenshot below. it seems that posting a flagged lap and still beating a Rival is the real challenge, but some bug has caused it to be displayed incorrectly.
