After being revealed with the launch of Fortnite Season 7 on June 8th, UFOs have already been vaulted in competitive playlists.

UFOs started appearing on the island from the previous season in Fortnite as a prelude for Season 7's Alien Invasion theme.

These flying objects have been known to abduct players and relaunch them into a different part of the map. Additionally, these UFOs have also presented players with high-tier loot in the form of a bonus advantage in the game.

Considering all of these factors, Epic Games has elected to vault these UFOs from the competitive playlist in Fortnite Season 7 and the community is extremely happy about it.

UFOs removed from Competitive Playlist

Despite Fortnite Season 7 featuring an Alien Invasion theme, the interference caused by UFOs during a Battle Royale game can be unfair in multiple situations. Being overpowered by an enemy who has received high-tier weapons from a UFO abduction, especially for players trying to grind for a better rank can be absolutely brutal.

Having said that, UFOs getting vaulted for competitive playlists in Fortnite Season 7 seems like a smart decision from the developers. Needless to say, the Fortnite community is supporting the developers' decision as it will allow them to have an unadulterated Battle Royale experience.

However, players who wish to experience UFOs in Fortnite Season 7 can do so in any other eligible playlist. Considering the vast amount of new content that has been introduced in Fortnite Season 7, there is a lot for players to explore and experience on the island.

It is also safe to assume that whatever happens on the island this season will play an important role in uncovering deeper mysteries of the Fortnite meta-verse.
