Fortnite: How to Enable Two Factor Authentication

The current season of Fortnite is slowly winding down.

Now, the game is released on the Xbox Series X/S and players are able to check out all the new features added by Epic.

With so much to look forward to in the next few weeks, including the season-ending event, we must remind you about an important component of Fortnite.

Two-factor authentication is one of the most important features and you should have it already enabled.

If you do not, or do not know how to link it; we have got you covered!

Let's take a look.

Epic Site

To begin, head over to the Epic Games website.

Here, you'll need to login into your account, or create a new one if you don't have an account.

Head to account settings and click on the 'Password & Security' tab.

Here, you'll choose between using the authentication app, or email.

If you're using an authentication app, you'll need to use one of these: Google Authenticator, LastPass, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

Why Enable It?

The main reason you will want 2FA connected to your Epic Games account is for the added security.

Anyone trying to access your account will not only need your username and password but also your email/authentication app.

However, most developers/games want to promote two-factor authentication; so you are rather safe than sorry.
