Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Teaser Reveals A Potential POI

Epic Games loves hiding hints right under the noses of the community. So last night, they sent the entire community in a frenzy with that mysterious audio clip. But before that, they dropped an interesting little video talking about the arrival of Orelia.

While the video seems like a nice little introductory package, it does seem to contain some solid information.

Are we getting a new skull-themed POI in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7?

The trailer in question showed Marigold, the female snapshot of Midas, make her way into a cave. Interestingly, the entrance to the cave is designed like a mouth.

Her explorations seem to have awakened Orelia. The cinematic trailer marks the arrival of the Orelia skin bundle to the game in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. But the most interesting part about this trailer is the cave.

It does seem like Epic Games put the Grotto in a time machine and went back in time to what it was previously. I'd love it if this were the new version of Oroisle.

Orelia received a small island and a run-down castle to herself in the previous season. That wasn't grand enough for a queen like her. But this cave seems like a perfect fit for her.

Is this a nod to Midas' revival in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7?

Moreover, why did Marigold have to go exploring a cave? She isn't the one to go spelunking. Was she looking for answers about Midas?

Midas has been missing since he was eaten by that shark in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3. However, it doesn't make sense. The man who could turn everything into gold with his touch can't just get eaten by a shark like that.

There's more to his story. There's a chance that he's managed to escape the loop and is lurking around somewhere. He's never been up to any good, but it would be really interesting to see Midas go up against the I.O.

While that's one part of the story, the entire cinematic shows the skull island could be a cinematic and nothing else. Whatever it may be, we're getting all the answers in about 24 hours, once Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 begins.
